PLANT OPERATORS

Rentech is emerging as a major stakeholder in the Canadian forestry section, committed to sustainable forest management and to pioneering new technologies for creating renewable energy resources. As Plant Operator you are responsible for working as a member of a “self-directed work team”, operating machines and equipment in an automated plant environment within established procedures to ensure safety, environmental awareness, quality and efficiency objectives are achieved.
Your Key Tasks:
• Perform daily job assignments rotating between a variety of work stations.
• Perform pre-operational daily inspection of machinery and equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections and associated maintenance work including cleaning, lubricating, tool changes, set ups etc.
• Monitor automated processes.
• Troubleshoot problems and initiate corrective action.
• Complete reports as required and inputs data into computer.
You have the following qualifications:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Have a valid driver’s license and able to provide a satisfactory police background check as a condition of your employment.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to operate mobile equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Health and Safety conscious.
• Able to work 12 hours shifts based on a scheduled rotation days/nights/weekends.
