The Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (Ministry)
invites Red Sky Independent Métis Nation to comment on the Ministry Review
of the Amended Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed East-West Tie
Transmission Project, proposed by NextBridge Infrastructure.
The Ministry Review assists the Ministry in determining whether the
requirements of the Environmental Assessment Act and the approved Terms of
Reference have been met, assists in determining whether there is sufficient
information to enable a decision to be made about the application, evaluates
how well the proponent has consulted with Indigenous communities and
stakeholders, provides an overview of the technical merits of the Amended
EA, and notes any outstanding concerns with the Amended EA or proposed
undertaking.
Attached is a copy of the Notice of Completion of Amended EA Review and a
copy of the Review. The Review is also available on the Ministrys website
at https://www.ontario.ca/page/east-west-tie-transmission-project
RSMIN was notified by the proponent of its submission of an Amended EA on
February 2, 2018. The Amended EA was prepared in order to respond to
comments and concerns that were raised during the EA review. The Amended EA
