Nishawbe Aski Development Fund – Forestry Expo -Valhalla Inn April 22 & 23, 2015

PRESS RELEASE

April 7, 2015 – After a 12 years hiatus of not having forestry related events in the city, The Forestry Expo is gearing up to become northern Ontario’s premier forest industry conference, trade show and career fair. The event is expected to attract forestry related businesses, forestry companies, job seekers, First Nations, government and buyers from across Canada.

The Forestry Expo Trade Show and Career Fair will showcase up to 50 exhibitors, including forest products companies, businesses, industry suppliers, and education and training institutes.  The trade show will offer valuable networking opportunities for exhibitors to promote their company, products and services to buyers, sellers, students and job seekers. The trade show is free of charge and open to the general public, we expect to attract 150-300 attendees daily.

The Forestry Expo Conference will feature guest speakers who will present, discuss and share their experiences, expertise and knowledge in forestry-related developments, including global outlook, economic opportunities, industry labor requirements, building Aboriginal partnerships, lessons learned and best practices.

The 2015 Forestry Expo program has been designed to ensure a fulfilling experience for sponsors, exhibitors, and delegates interested in “pursuing sustainable forest opportunities”.

The forestry and business related community was quick to show their support by buying up all the available exhibitor space and provided sponsorships.  The attached list of companies have demonstrated their commitment to being there as an exhibitor or sponsor.
