Looking for Knowledge Regarding Recovery Strategies for 11 Species at Risk

The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources is requesting information to be considered in the development of recovery strategies for 11 species under the Endangered Species Act, 2007.  Specifically, the MNR is requesting scientific information, including community and Aboriginal Traditional Knowledge.  The species under consideration are:

  • Bobolink (threatened) and Eastern Meadowlark (threatened)
  • Butternut (endangered)
  • Common Hoptree (threatened)
  • Cutlip Minnow (threatened)
  • Dwarf Hackberry (threatened)
  • Eastern Sand Darter (endangered)
  • Hill’s Thistle (threatened)
  • Lakeside Daisy (threatened)
  • Piping Plover (endangered)
  • Pitcher’s Thistle (threatened)
