Hydro One is Hiring: Construction & Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship

HIRING HALL APPRENTICESHIP – ELECTRICAL

 The Hydro One/Power Workers’ Union (PWU) Joint Electrician Training Committee (JETC) is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of an apprenticeship training program as provided in the Collective Agreement between Hydro One and the PWU.

 The JETC currently requires Electrical Apprentices for work throughout the province.  The apprentices initially will be hired in a central location and remain there for approximately three weeks.  The jointly organized program is a five year apprenticeship that, when successfully concluded, provides Construction and Maintenance Electrician Journeyperson status.  Applicants require their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) including Grade 12 Mathematics and English, plus a Senior Science or Electrical Shop (or equivalents) to qualify for the position.
